Yoga Mat Disinfectant Spray
If you think about it Yoga Mats can get pretty nasty, catching sweat drops, being the base to your potentially dirty hands and feet. So why is it so common for people to not disinfect their mats? I used to not clean my mat until I started doing hot yoga, which is obviously much sweatier! I like to make most of my DIY products using all natural ingredients for this I used, Witch Hazel and Essential Oils. Here are some disinfecting oil combinations that I like: Peppermint with Tea Tree, Tea Tree with Orange, Geranium with Lime, Lemongrass with Lavender, Lavender with Rosemary, Grapefruit with Lemon and Lavender, or what I used with this batch was Lavender with Tea Tree.
I would be cautious with the citrus oils since they are known to deteriorate plastic. I have personally never had an issue but keep this is mind if you were thinking about just dropping the oils directly to the mat. I would also suggest using an alcohol free Witch Hazel the alcohol has the potential to damage your mat.
