Yoga For Flat Abs
Even though we are headed straight for the winter months of sweater weather it is still a great time to get your core strong and toned. Here are a few poses to help challenge your core muscles and to be "beach ready" year round!
PLOW: Lift Legs up and then slowly down over the head using core strength. Lift legs up and down here for extra core workout.
DOWNWARD DOG VARIATION (KNEE TO NOSE) : Begin In Downward Facing Dog
Come into Dog Splits
Coming up on the tip-toes, engaging the core, bring your knee to your elbow.
STACKED SIDE PLANK WITH DIPS: Stacking your feet, balance in side plank and then dipping the hips and side down for an extra challenge.
BOAT POSE: Balance on sit bones here while slowly raising legs and arms into a V shape. Hold as long as possible.
BALANCING TABLE TOP CRUNCH: Beginning in Table Top, reach arm and opposite leg out. Hold here and then crunch inwards.
SUPPORTED HEAD STAND: This uses almost complete core strength. Clasp hands around head for support and slowly walk feet towards face before lifting the feet off the ground.
